Diabetes : Astrological Reasons

What causes diabetes?
First of all we
should know what diabetes is and what causes diabetes.
Diabetes mellitus is
a group of metabolic diseases characterized by high blood sugar (glucose)
levels that result from defects in insulin secretion, or its action, or both.
Insulin is a hormone that is
produced by specialized cells (beta cells) of the pancreas. The Pancreas is a
deep-seated organ in the abdomen located behind the stomach. In addition to
helping glucose enter the cells, insulin is also important in tightly
regulating the level of glucose in the blood.
Glucose is a simple sugar
found in food. Glucose is an essential nutrient that provides energy for the
proper functioning of the body cells. Carbohydrates are broken down in the
small intestine and the glucose in digested food is then absorbed by the
intestinal cells into the bloodstream, and is carried by the bloodstream to all
the cells in the body where it is utilized. However, glucose cannot enter the
cells alone and needs insulin to aid in its transport into the cells. Without
insulin, the cells become starved of glucose energy despite the presence of
abundant glucose in the bloodstream. In certain types of diabetes, the cells’
inability to utilize glucose gives rise to the ironic situation of
"starvation in the midst of plenty". The abundant, unutilized glucose
is wastefully excreted in the urine.
Normally, blood
glucose levels are tightly controlled by insulin, a hormone produced by the
pancreas. Insulin lowers the blood glucose level. When the blood glucose
elevates (for example, after eating food), insulin is released from the
pancreas to normalize the glucose level. In patients with diabetes, the absence
or insufficient production of insulin causes hyperglycaemia. (Hyperglycaemia,
when the bodies blood sugar is higher than the normal range.)
What is Pancreas?
A spongy,
tube-shaped organ that is about 6 inches long and is located in the back of the
abdomen, behind the stomach. The head of the pancreas is on the right side of
the abdomen. It is connected to the upper end of the small intestine. The
narrow end of the pancreas, called the tail, extends to the left side of the
body. The pancreas makes pancreatic juices and hormones, including insulin and
secretin. Pancreatic juices contain enzymes that help digest food in the small
intestine. Both pancreatic enzymes and hormones are needed to keep the body
working correctly. As pancreatic juices are made, they flow into the main
pancreatic duct, which joins to the common bile duct, which connects the
pancreas to the liver and the gallbladder and carries bile to the small
intestine near the stomach.
Insufficient
production of insulin by the pancreas (either absolutely or relative to the
body’s needs), production of defective insulin (which is uncommon), or the
inability of cells to use insulin properly and efficiently leads to
hyperglycaemia and diabetes.
Findings:
- Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases.
- Insufficient production of insulin by the pancreas.
- Insulin is a hormone.
Astrologically
metabolism is matter of 5th and 6th house. 5th house signifies stomach, pancreas,
spleen and liver. 6th house signifies indigestion, liver diseases. Diabetes is
indigestion of Carbohydrates.
Astrologically
significator of 5th house is Jupiter. Jupiter rules over liver and pancreas. It
regulates sugars, lipids, the liver, and the gall-bladder. So, there is strong
reason to blame Jupiter for bad metabolic system. While searching reasons of
diabetes, we should take in consideration Jupiter, Sagittarius, Pisces, Leo
signs; 5th, 6th and 8th houses. A malefic Jupiter in 5th, 6th and 8th house can
give this disorder.
